This new platform is capable of storing 36GB (native) on one piece of Sony DAT72 media (80% more capacity than DDS-4). Sony's technological expertise and experience in the DDS formats have made it possible to deliver higher compressed capacities of up to 72GB (2:1) of data protection per DAT72 data cartridge in the same DDS form factor.
